An aspiring rapper met a tragic end when he was shot and killed while live-streaming on Instagram. On Thursday, July 8, 21-year-old Zerail Dijon Rivera’s lifeless body was discovered inside a car in Hawthorne, California, according to police reports.
The victim, known as Indian Red Boy and affiliated with the Inglewood Family Bloods, suffered a devastating attack, with reports indicating he was shot a staggering 12 times while live-streaming alongside a fellow gang member known as Kapone.
The distressing video footage captures the moment Rivera was struck beneath his left eye and in the neck and upper torso. In his plea for assistance, he revealed his location as Hawthorne before tragically succumbing to his injuries, visibly coughing up blood.
The circumstances surrounding Rivera’s death have given rise to speculation that it may be connected to his involvement in defacing the late rapper Nipsey Hussle’s mural in the Crenshaw neighborhood of Los Angeles. Rivera’s friend, Kapone, who appeared in the livestream, had recently released a video boasting about their involvement in the mural’s defacement.
